David Titterington
David Titterington (b. 1983) has been teaching art at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas since 2015. His undergraduate work focused on East Asian Studies, culminating in a two-week workshop with the Dalai Lama at his monastery in India, followed by five years living on the island of Shikoku, Japan, researching holy sites and forms of Japanese meditation. He earned an MFA in visual art from the University of Kansas in 2013, where he studied under Osage artist Norman Akers and historian Christopher Forth.
Titterington believes art is the most sublime and consciousness-raising force in the world. He has been writing for 25YearsLater since 2019, and in 2023, his work was featured in the book David Lynch and the American West. For The Darkness of Future Past, David plans on exploring Indigenous influences in Twin Peaks.
